The "Hugging" period`s art perspective
The variegation of hugs is expressed in many different ways in the works of Réka Tóth-Vásárhelyi. The separation and amalgamation of the forms appear together through the contrasts in the artworks.
The forms give expressions, separate, make connections, and as well call our attention to the feeling and the movement of hugging forgot or neglected by many of us in this fast paced world.
The Japanese culture, arts, lifestyle and design gave the artistic inspiration to the artworks.
The artist's figurativity follows the minimalists' trend based on the Zen-arts; the message of the art pieces is the simplistic reflection of the outer world and the representation of the sense of it and the inner values.
Reka's spiritual image is based on the variegation of the globalised world; therefore the subject of the present exhibition was generated based on this idea. Besides the meaning of the physical sense, the vision of hugging covers the meeting of cultures, religions, thoughts and spiritual abyss.
Reka's pedagogy includes the teaching of abstract arts, and transmission of open communication. Through her artistic way of _expression she makes us realize and retrace our human values with the regeneration of the feelings and thoughts mediated by the forms.
